All of our instructors are RYA qualified with current first aid certificates, well trained and experienced sailors they are passionate about their sport and will help you to progress and enjoy your time on the water. The majority of our instructors are local to the islands or have done several seasons with us previously. This means that each instructor has a wealth of local knowledge so can act as your guide as well as your tutor.
Instruction of all activities can be tailored to suit each student's individual needs, adults and children alike. We can offer full courses or 1 to 2 hr sessions to fit in with your holiday plans. We offer private 1:1 tuition with dedicated uninterrupted instruction to fast track you through the skill levels. Our group courses are an excellent way to meet other like minded people and have a lot of fun whilst learning from each other's triumphs or unexpected swims!
The RYA scheme is set up to follow a national syllabus, so that you can continue your progression through the scheme at another centre when you return home. RYA course syllabus is divided up into sections that are signed off when completed to gain a specific certificate. Attendance of a course does not guarantee certification; this will depend on each student’s ability and progression.
We operate a strict instructor to student ratio for your safety but also to ensure a high standard of instruction is available throughout the course. The content of each session of any course will depend on weather conditions, tides and the level the students have reached at that point.
Safety of our customers is our primary concern and we have a fleet of safety craft ready to give assitance if or when required.
