Windsurfing

Scilly is heaven for windsurfing. Sheltered bays of clean water with soft sand beaches and virtually no one else on the water makes for an excellent place to learn. For intermediate and advance windsurfers the conditions are amazing when the wind kicks in, blasting from island to island over crystal clear waters. Scilly offers a variety of conditions to sail, though predominately bump and jump or flat water speed sailing. When the conditions aren't right to sail from our main centre we load up the ribs and head to the other islands to find the best conditions. All the windsurf images on this site are honestly taken here in Scilly.
All windsurf instruction can be tailored to suit your individual needs, if there is not a program or course suitable please contact us to discuss your requirements. We can offer full courses or 1 - 2 hr sessions to fit in with your holiday plans. We offer private 1:1 tuition with dedicated uninterrupted instruction to fast track you through the skill levels or our group courses are an excellent way to meet other like minded people and have a lot of fun whilst learning from each others triumphs or unexpected swims!
Taster Sessions
We offer tuition by the 1 or 2 hour session. We have plenty of stable boards and light training rigs to make learning easy. Our 2 hour taster session is designed to get you up and going as quickly as possible. The session starts ashore on the training simulator before heading on to the water. By the end of this lesson you should be on the water more than in it! We recommend a 2hour session for complete beginners to give yourself enough time to have a fair go at it. We set no age limits for windsurf instruction but do find that children aged 11 and under tend to struggle with the size of the equipment and it is normally advisable for them to have a shorter session.
2 Day Course (8 hours minimum)
Our two day courses consists of 2 sessions each day tailored to the specific needs of the individual or group to progress and improve your windsurfing. The nature of each session will depend on the student’s ability with maximum time afloat, shore based theory and observed practice time. The course can be run as a private session or as part of a group of students of similar ability. If doing an RYA course you may progress through more than one level during the course. Group sessions make for great fun sociable sessions and a brilliant way to learn from each other.
